Church Of God In Christ

Dr. Jeremiah Holiday, Pastor

Lady Latoya Holiday

First Lady Latoya Marie Holiday was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up, her family attended the Apostolic Church of God, under the leadership of the late Bishop Dr. Arthur M. Brazier. As a girl, First Lady Holiday was involved in many activities in her church including the Girl Scouts of America where she worked to make her troop one of the top in the city of Chicago. After graduating high school, Lady Holiday attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in African-American

Studies. After graduation , in 2004 she moved to Madison Wisconsin to pursue graduate studies in Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was there that she met Elder Jeremiah Holiday who was also pursuing graduate studies in Education. The two soon married and were blessed with two beautiful children, Sydney Michelle and Jordan Jeremiah. Elder and Sister Holiday joined Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Sedgwick Daniels, as there was no Church of God in Christ in Madison at the time. The family worshipped at Holy Redeemer for more than a year until in April 2008, Elder Holiday was appointed by Bishop Daniels as supply minister of the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Beloit Wisconsin. A year later, in 2009, Elder Holiday was officially installed as Pastor. Sister Holiday currently works as an Education Consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Sister Holiday and Pastor Holiday have worked diligently to grow and expand the ministry in Beloit while also remaining active in Wisconsin First Jurisdiction. Sister Holiday works and supports her husband and the vision God has given him for the ministry in Beloit. She currently remains busy pursuing her doctorate in Education, taking care of two small children and serving as a leader and example for the women of Pentecostal Tabernacle COGIC and in the city of Beloit. Sister Holiday believes strongly in the value of education, the importance of holiness and the necessity of young women learning to conduct and present themselves as ladies. In her work in the ministry she stresses the need for excellence and high standards as she believes that God’s chosen should always be a representation of His perfection.
